Root & Rest, operated by Shizuka Ogino, handles personal information for this website and online shop as follows.
We may collect names, addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, order details, delivery information and enquiry contents when you order or contact us. Stripe processes credit card information; the shop does not directly retain card numbers.
Information is used to dispatch products, contact you about orders and payments, respond to enquiries, prevent misuse, improve services and meet legal obligations.
We use Stripe for payments and delivery companies for shipping. Necessary information is shared only within the scope of their work, with appropriate handling requested.
We do not provide personal information to third parties except where required by law, with your consent, or when necessary for contracted services.
The website and checkout may use cookies necessary for display, payment and security. Favorites use an anonymous cookie identifier stored for up to one year, with selected scents saved on the server. When you sign in, browser favorites are merged into your account so they can be used on other devices. Remove the heart mark to delete a saved scent.
The cart also stores an anonymous cookie identifier for up to one year and saves selected products on the server. Carts are retained per browser; deleting items updates the saved contents. Favorite and cart activity is also used as aggregates without personal names to improve products and services. Restricting cookies in your browser may prevent some functions from working.
We work to take necessary and appropriate measures against unauthorized access, loss, alteration and disclosure of personal information.
Requests to access, correct, stop use of or delete your personal information are handled in accordance with applicable law after identity verification. Please contact support@rootandrest.jp.
